Sawyer Point is a supremely efficient urban waterfront park, packing a performance stage, concessions booths, an outdoor skating rink, eight tennis courts, a wonderful playground, and even three volleyball courts into a single mile of space. The pavilion area alone is one of the country's best venues, featuring high-profile acts ranging from the "Four Tops" to the "Barenaked Ladies" to "Everclear." Lying along the banks of the Ohio River, the park is a popular place for summertime concerts and special events including the weekly Wednesday happy hour called "Party in the Park".
