Created in 1933, the Krohn Conservatory is a botanical gardens with over 3,500 different species of plant on display. Visitors can peruse exhibits of tropical, desert, orchid, and palm plantlife, preserved in their natural settings and accentuated by a gorgeous 20-foot waterfall in a mock rain forest. Every year the conservatory sponsors a butterfly show which provides an environment for thousands of butterflies to hatch. The botanical gardens resides in the heart of Eden Park, adjacent to the Cincinnati Art Museum.
Open daily 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Butterfly Show open from mid-Apr to mid-Jun.
Free but donations are welcome. Butterfly Show: Adults $6; Seniors $5; Children (5-17) $4; Children 4 and under are free.
